Thursday June 20
Good Morning TGJ4M!
Today is the day... our class field trip! I hope you have all remembered to bring sunscreen, water, your lunch and clothes you don't mind getting dirty.
Again, here is the blog post assignment due at the beginning of tomorrow's class:
During your field trip to Everdale Farm, each of you will be observing the role food plays in your daily life. As each of you have completed dozens of blog posts this term, you will reflect on the type of blog most commonly created outside of school. You explored this at the beginning of the term and discovered that the majority of blogs were mother's blogging about food. The majority of these blogs are also geared towards a healthy lifestyle and sustainability.
Your assignment is to post 400-500 works about the impact of what you have learned at the farm today and apply it to a healthy lifestyle. Consider the following, what are the benefits of eating local food, knowing where your food comes from and sustainable farming?
From there you will find two blog sites that focus on food/health/sustainable living. You will discuss why this blog appeals to you, who the blogger is and share two recipes/tips from the blog.
